MSMEs are a key contributor to the economy, comprising 99.5 per cent of all businesses in Thailand. Through job creation and contribution to supply chains, Thai MSMEs play a vital role in socioeconomic development. Aware that entrepreneurship can be a driver of microeconomic growth and professional fulfillment, Thai women and young women have increasingly shown interest in leading their own businesses. However, gaps remain in knowledge of best practices and skills in business management.
The ACGBP project aims to fill this gap through capacity-building activities aimed at improving gender-responsive and sustainable business practices among MSME entrepreneurs. In collaboration with local partners, ACGBP will develop research studies on best practices for MSME business management, a workshop series focused on enhancing skills and knowledge on business management, and an MSME Mentorship Program delivered to women and young entrepreneurs on adapting best practices into their businesses.
Activities will improve knowledge among men and women MSME entrepreneurs about business management practices that support gender-responsive and sustainable MSME growth while also strengthening the capacity among MSME entrepreneurs to apply said best practices in Thailand.
